summer reading challenge 2020 begins april 13

Imagine Your Story: Read!

With the many challenges Nashville has endured this year, we could all use a little more positivity in our lives.

So we launched our annual Summer Reading Challenge earlier than usual this year. And it's not too late to join! Sign up, log the time you spend reading, and earn free prizes for your efforts.

Since NPL will remain closed for now, we’ve made some changes to how you can access NPL’s resources to complete the challenge. Get more Summer Reading Challenge details on our blog here.

As you read this summer, help Nashville reach our citywide summer reading goal: to read for 20 million minutes.

Register online, or at any NPL location, once reopened.
Read 600, 1200, and 1800 minutes to earn points for prizes. Log your minutes on-the-go with the ReadSquared app, available on App Store and Google Play.

Prizes Update

Summer Reading Challenge prizes will be available for pick up at our 8 curbside service locations beginning Monday, July 13.

When you arrive, call the library and let staff know you are here to claim your Summer Reading Challenge prizes. You will receive registration coupons and more, based on the amount of reading time you have logged.

Get all the details about NPL's curbside service for library materials pickup.

In the meantime, please enjoy this lovely Safer-at-Home artistic collaboration from our amazing Main Library Adult Services staff.
